This letter from Daih\u014dji Yoshioki (1555\u20131587) is directed to a group of 50 vassals under the military commander Ikeda Morichika, who were known as the Asahiyama 50. It states that they were to be given 30 <em>kan <\/em>of land in Urushizone, 10 <em>kan <\/em>in Aouso, and 10 <em>kan <\/em>in Takizawa, for a total of 50 <em>kan<\/em>. During the rebellion of T\u014dzenji Yoshinaga (also known as Maemori Kur\u014ddo) against his lord Daih\u014dji Yoshiuji in 1583, Ikeda Morichika briefly changed sides to follow Mogami Yoshiaki, but was pardoned by Yoshioki and returned to serve the Daih\u014dji clan.
