{"id":2432,"date":"2023-05-25T12:51:22","date_gmt":"2023-05-25T03:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hommamuseum-en.com\/?p=2432"},"modified":"2023-06-22T16:57:04","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T07:57:04","slug":"large-shallow-rice-cake-flower-porcelain-bowl-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hommamuseum-en.com\/?p=2432","title":{"rendered":"Large shallow \u2018rice cake flower\u2019 porcelain bowl\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Late Ming dynasty, China (17<sup>th<\/sup> century)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donated by the Homma family<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a large, shallow \u201crice cake flower\u201d porcelain bowl, fired at the Zhangzhou kilns during the late Ming dynasty.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMochi hana-te\u201d or \u201crice cake flower\u201d refers to a type of porcelain characterized by a white glaze applied to the base, followed by a glaze of lapis lazuli, and then finished with dotted or drawn floral and plant designs using white glaze.
