Dolls during this time were comparatively more realistic, the effect of which was heightened by using glass beads known as \u2018tamagane\u2019 for eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These dolls were made by Ch\u014djiro, a doll-maker from the \u014cyama domain (present-day Sh\u014dnai) in Yamagata Prefecture.
