He studied under Minami Kunz\u014d and Usa Sabur\u014d at the T\u014dky\u014d School of Fine Arts. Graduating in 1941, he was then called up to serve during the war. After demobilization, he became an assistant teacher at the Yamagata Shihan School, a teacher training institution of Yamagata University\u2019s education department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He retired from the education department of Yamagata University in 1951, moving to T\u014dky\u014d. In 1961, he established the S\u014dkikai Association, exhibiting art each year.
