{"id":536,"date":"2022-10-11T10:49:06","date_gmt":"2022-10-11T01:49:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hommamuseum-en.com\/?p=536"},"modified":"2023-06-21T17:03:34","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T08:03:34","slug":"dragon-riding-kannon-wild-horses-and-cattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hommamuseum-en.com\/?p=536","title":{"rendered":"Dragon-Riding Kannon, Wild Horses and Cattle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Written in the hand of Tan\u2019yu Kan\u014d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early Edo period (17th century)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tangible Cultural Property, designated by Sakata city<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donated by the Homma family<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tan&#8217;yu Kan\u014d created this triptych during the later years of his life, some time after he turned 61 and had been awarded the rank of H\u014din (the highest rank for a painter).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All three works were painted primarily in light ink washes, with a beauty and poetry by their use of negative space.
