Tempō period (1830–1844)
Donated by Saitō Shōji
This standing doll with a child’s face was made in the style of Jirozaemon dolls, characterized by their round face and elegant air. This style of doll was popular during the Hōreki era (1751–1764). The wisteria flowers on their costume, as well as the vivid gold and reds, make a striking impression.
