Ogata Kōrin was a Japanese landscape illustrator, lacquerer, painter and textile designer of the Rinpa School, which is characterized by the liberal use of gold leaf and natural subjects such as bird, plants and flowers; its artistic influences included Heian period yamato-e, Muromachi ink paintings and Ming Dynasty paintings. He is best known for his folding screens such as “Irises and Red and White Plum”.

Daikokuten is considered to be the Japanese deity of fortune and wealth.
